Journel #8

The hardest commandment to follow would be commandment seven. This is the commandment in which it says you shall not steal.  Even though this is a straight forward one it is still hard to do.  The hard part is not shoplifting or kidnapping, but it is taking a friend pencil or taking a few bucks from your parents.  I think this is the hardest one because if you don’t have money and your parents wallet is right there it is very tempting to take a fe bucks for food.

The easiest commandment to follow  is number two. This is the commandment that says you should not say the Lords name in vain.  This is the easiest one in my opinion because there are other rewords that does not invoke the Lords name.  For example I could say, “ gosh darn it “ because it is not putting the Lords name in vain.  Though it is the lazy way it is still not putting the lords name in vain.

Journel #7

At the end of Pope Francis Homily he asked two questions. Where is my heart, and which of these people am I.  The second questions refers to the people of Jesus’s last day alive.    The first question is very brief, but it is hard to answer. This question could have multiple answers depending on your faith.  Some people would say that their heart is with God, and others wouldn't .  The second question is asking if you are the type of person who watches Jesus die and you don’t try to help him, or are you the person who helps him and tries to save him.

The answer to the first question from my prospective is that my heart follows my beliefs.  My beliefs are towards God and Jesus.  Every day I ask Jesus into my heart so that he would guide me to the right path, and not make decision that are bad or wrong.  This question makes you think about your heart and the path it is leading you to. I think that where my heart lays is in a place with great hope and forgiveness.

The second question ask which person am I.  Am I the bystander or the person trying to fix the situation or make it better.  I would think that I would be like Cryenian who help Jesus carry the cross.  I think I would be this person because I feel like I am a person who would do the right thing no matter the reward or consequences.  Cryenian is brave because if he got caught he could have been executed, but he did it anyway.

Journel 6

1.Most of what is in his list was thing I know and should know, but not all of the things are goods.  Something that was not good was the idea that you should know how to drink because it is illegal to drink alcohol if you are under 21.

2.The most important skill that every young man should have is to drive a car.  This was the most important because now in 2014 almost everyone one has a car, and if you can't drive there would be no point to have it. Also now you can't walk everywhere to get things that important for you they are usually miles away.  Lastly, driving is a good skill to have because it will help you get to places no matter what the weather is like.

3.One of these skills that should be in a young woman's repertoire is the skill to cook.  This is because that it seems like in all of the cooking shows that are on a women is the host.  Also, if you know how to cook you will be able to save yourself some money by not going out everyday.

4.One skill that is not on this list but should be is the skill to do your own laundry.  This is an important skill because once you move out mom will not be there for you to do it for you, so you need to know ho to do it.  This will help because you will not smell bad and look dirty.

Journel 5

1.What is talked about in this passage is a man talking to Jesus to find out how to earn eternal life.   Jesus then answers him, but the guy doesn’t like the response.  They Jesus returns to his disciples to explain to them why they will follow him and get glory in heaven because of it.

2.He says how hard it is to go to heaven if you are rich.

3.camel passing through the eye of the needle

4.  This relates to Ignatius first principle because it says how if you should follow Jesus and it will repay you in your after life.

Journel #4

Freshmen retreat was a great experience to bound with old friends and make new ones a long the road.   At the beginning when we were see was who was in our group I only new one kid who was a good friend, and a kid who I didn’t really like.  We soon started to play fun games and talk about ourselves, and I soon realized that I had many things in common with these people.  Then when the girl came in our group was shy in the start of it, but then we started to ask more question later on.  I learned new things about girls, which will help me with my relationships.

The Olympics were one of my favorite part of the retreat.  We had one of the better groups, and we also played against one of the worst groups.  At the end we only loosed in one event, but it turned out not to be enough because some groups got more tickets then us.  I loved watching the end video with all of the pictures, and the teachers talking about the freshman class.  This was a great experience because of my great leader and my awesome group.  I made some new friends that I didn’t know before, but I am grateful I met them.

Journel 3

What is the meaning of life?  There is no one specific answer.  Everyone has there own answer, and so they will live there life the way they want to.  In my perspective the meaning of life is to fulfill all of your dreams to the best of your abilities.  God gave us life for a reason, and it was not to waste it.  I intend to do as much stuff that I want to do while I live, so then I can die peacefully.  Life is a great thing and theres is so much to do, so I say to have a life that you will not regret.

Journal Entry 2

The this I believe story listened to was a one on happiness by Wayne Coyne.  It was about how he saw homeless people on a cold day laughing, and not thinking of the bad things.  Then he said how he assumed the people on the street were sad, but they weren’t they were laughing with each other.  Then he thought of the time of his first job as a cook at a Long John Silver.  He talked about how he noticed people lives because he was there for such a long time.  He said that he see couples and then in a few years they would be married with kids. He saw the world as a happy place, and that everyone can be happy with the live they are in.
